Dave was born and raised in the Fairmount section of Philadelphia. He’s always loved animals and grew up with cats and dogs in the house at all times. Currently, his family has three great pets: Balto, an Australian Cattle Dog mix, and two “11ish” year old cats, Chester and Tut, who, as Dave describes them, “look like cats.”

Dave has been a Queenie’s caregiver since early 2007. He received a degree in Economics from Temple University and uses that degree to walk dogs. Though he’d never admit it, Dave is our resident comedian. His clients often insist that we should assemble a book of all of his notes from his visits, because they have everyone in stitches- definitely the perfect welcome home for owners!

Dave enjoys playing the drums in his band, Sweatheart, which has toured the country and even played at the South by Southwest (SXSW) music festival in Austin, Texas. Dave is also a sports nut, and discusses his favorite teams (Phillies, Sixers, Eagles, and Flyers…duh!) with all the pets. He knows that the proud dogs, cats and birds of NW Philly all share in rooting for our local teams.

Dave has been on Team Queenie’s since 2007.
