Adina
Adina Silberstein (aka “Queenie”!) founded Queenie’s Pets® in 2006 after a long career in the restaurant industry. Having worked in service in different capacities nearly all of her life, coupled with an obsession with animals that began literally as an infant, Adina was ready to create an avenue through which fellow pet parents could receive top-notch, professional care for their pets by a trusted, life-long member of their own community.
Earning the nickname ‘Queenie’ for being a strong-willed leader, Adina started this company that, from Day 1 was committed to being industry leaders, stalwarts of the community and champions for ensuring all pets are cared for in a manner that is always Fear-Free, force-free, stress-free and pain-free.
Adina grew up in Philadelphia and has lived in Mt. Airy since 1989. Her family always had German Shepherds, as well as a menagerie that included cats, parakeets, hamsters, gerbils, hermit crabs and tropical fish.
Adina knows she has the best job in the world and is grateful for every client that makes this career possible. She lives in East Mt. Airy with her husband and their seven four-legged family members: Cats Brucie Marbles, Zizzy, Snacks, Gorton T. Fisherman (Gortie – who is also our “shop cat”), Cowboy, an Australian Cattle Dog/Husky mix, Groove, a Golden Retriever/Staffie mix (who looks like a Black Lab) and Alan, a Syrian “Teddy Bear” Hamster.
