Philly Mt Airy Chestnut Hill Germantown Pet Sitting

Michelle grew up in Mt. Airy and is a life-long animal lover. Her family always had at least one dog and she was “the go-to gal” when it came to family pet-sitting. Although Michelle had the pleasure of living with several animals, she formed a particularly special bond with her Labrador, Sir Duke of Chocolate, whom she raised from a puppy. Duke taught Michelle discipline and patience and their relationship lasted thirteen wonderful years. In her youth, Michelle attended camp at the Philadelphia Zoo and even contemplated a career in veterinary medicine. While attending college, she worked at a pet store where she got to learn and interact with a wide variety of animals. She also volunteered at the Humane Society, which taught her about the importance of rescues and pet adoption. Even when she worked in corporate banking, she couldn’t resist the appeal of our four-legged friends and managed to organize a “Pet Adoption Day” with a local rescue group.

Michelle loves working with animals because once you make a connection with them it lasts a lifetime. She relishes the bond she is able to create with pets and their families, and hopes that she brings joy and a little relief to their lives. She whole-heartedly enjoys walking in the woods with furry faces and wagging tails as well as snuggling with a purring cat in her lap. Queenie’s Pets® allows Michelle to build relationships with exceptional pets and their families in the community she loves.

In her spare time, she loves to paint, read and decorate. She resides in Mt. Airy with her partner, Melissa, and their fabulous feline daughter, Poka Dot Nakamura.
