Philly Mt Airy Chestnut Hill Germantown Dog Walking
Philly Mt Airy Chestnut Hill Germantown Pet Sitting

Would you love to spend your days making dogs & cats ridiculously happy? Want a job that’s a little different one day to the next, and WAY different from other jobs you’ve had? A job that gets you outside and doesn’t have you answering to humans all the time?

Our staff enjoys beautiful days outside, mixing playfulness, professionalism, and day-to-day variety, as well as an unshakable commitment to each other, to making animals happy, and to making even the rainy days great.

Thanks to our commitment to excellence, our business is growing and we are always open to considering outstanding new team members. If you thing you could shine in our field, read our requirements below!

Our applicants must:

Send a resume and cover letter. Your resume does not have to reflect professional animal experience (but if you’ve got some, great!). You will not receive a reply unless we receive both items. Email us at

Be 21 or older.

Pass a criminal background check with flying colors.

Be tremendously dependable. If you are the kind of person who takes sick days often, has a lot of car trouble, or has to create a schedule based upon other people, this is not the job for you.

Have a flexible schedule – but, moreover, a flexible attitude. We work with living creatures, so you never know what the day will bring!

LOVE the outdoors, and remain unflappable in any weather condition.

Have your own reliable car (sorry, for our service area, a bicycle is not acceptable) and proof of insurance.

Have a cell phone with an unlimited texting plan (a smart phone is an advantage!) and your own, reliable access to the Internet.

Have had pets as a part of your life – perhaps you grew up with your own personal zoo or have your own now, maybe you worked in a shelter, or are studying veterinary care – or all of the above. Animals must be a huge part of your foundation as a person (that is, you couldn’t possibly have imagined your life without them in it).

Be not just an “animal person,” but a “people person” as well.

For Full-time work: Be available to work regular Monday-Friday hours, and some flexible evening, weekend and/or hours as needed.

For Part-time work: Have reliable, recurring availability - we can discuss options for part-time hours that work for both the company and you.

For both FT and PT staffers, this job fits in well with your graduate studies, burgeoning art or music career, your years between schooling or while your kids are in school during the day.

All staff members are required to do some holiday work. We operate 365 days a year.

Be physically capable of walking/hiking for 5+ hours a day, and able to lift at least 50 lbs.

Be the kind of person that doesn’t care if you get mud, slobber, or fur on you at any given time. Hey – it happens.

Be self-motivated, a frequent and open communicator, and a GREAT time-manager. Be the kind of person that always goes slightly above what is expected.

Have outstanding written communication skills and a great sense of humor.

Live within our service area, or no more than five minutes outside of it.

Be able to commit to a minimum of 18 months as a professional pet caregiver. We do not hire temporary or seasonal workers.

Soooo! What are you waiting for! Quit your corporate, boring job, and join our team!
Email your cover letter and resume to

If you can give us all of that, here’s the GREAT benefits you’ll get in return!

Great pay for a fun job

Lots of new friends
(human and non-human!)

Working as a part of a very
cohesive, cooperative staff

A ton of new awareness of
animal-related information
(training, health & wellness, etc)

Fresh air all day long
(you can tell all of you cubicle-
bound friends how nice it is
outside when they aren’t even
aware that it’s still daylight)

An abundance of exercise
(hey – you can even cancel
that gym membership!)

Hikes in the woods of
Fairmount Park in all its glory

A chance to work on your creative writing skills at every household

A job that is never the same
day-to-day – we don’t
understand the word “boring!”

Please note:
All employees begin as part-time, as it takes a few weeks to get you trained as to the Ways of Queenie’s®,
as well as to get you introduced into the homes of our clients. Once we feel you are ready to go out on
your own with the animals and into households, we will build up your schedule as quickly as we see fit.
